A cross sectional knowledge, attitude and practice study for copper IUCD in a tertiary care centre in New Delhi

Background: The postpartum period is one of the most sensitive in a woman’s life. To prevent unwanted pregnancies and promote optimal interpregnancy interval, effective contraception should be discussed offered at that time. aim this study was to assess knowledge, attitude practice intrauterine device antenatal patients attending OPD. Methods: A cross sectional, hospital based descriptive conducted from month September November 2021 department Obstetrics Gynaecology Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. total number recruited were 750. 600 delivered 150 lost follow up. Around 71% aware Copper as method contraception. Whereas only 31% convinced safety IUCD. About 62% apprehensive use Of our hospital, PPIUCD inserted 216 (36%) patients.
